Find the Right Brazos County Warrant Source Before You Act
Brazos County does not have one public search page that neatly combines every felony, misdemeanor, Justice Court, Bryan and College Station warrant. That matters: searching the wrong list can make a person think there is no warrant when the case actually belongs to another court.
Start by identifying who filed the case. Use the county Judicial Records portal for felony and misdemeanor case history, the appropriate Justice Court for precinct cases, the College Station active-warrant dataset for College Station citations, and the Bryan City Marshal for Bryan Municipal Court warrants.

Not every “active warrant” means the same thing
A judge-authorized order directing law enforcement to arrest the named person in connection with an alleged offense.
College Station explains that an alias warrant may issue when no plea was entered or a required court appearance was missed.
Generally follows a judgment when a fine, payment obligation or another ordered requirement was not completed.
Can arise after a person misses a required setting. County felony and misdemeanor courts warn that missing court without approval can result in a warrant.

Six Brazos County warrant-search traps
The Clerk’s FAQ says the office cannot give out open-warrant information.
A Bryan warrant will not necessarily appear in the College Station municipal list, and vice versa.
Always read the report timestamp before assuming “active” still means active.
Some online payments can create a no-contest plea or conviction. Read the terms first.
Processing can take time. Keep your receipt and verify that the court has posted the action.
When a serious warrant may exist, first confirm the issuing court and current bond or surrender procedure.
Brazos County active-warrant questions answered
How do I check for an active warrant in Brazos County Texas?
There is not one official public page that reliably combines every Brazos County felony, misdemeanor, Justice Court, Bryan Municipal Court and College Station Municipal Court warrant. Start with the Brazos County Judicial Records Search for the underlying county case, check any applicable Justice of the Peace warrant report, use the College Station active warrant dataset for College Station citations, and contact the Bryan City Marshal for Bryan Municipal Court warrants. For county warrant-service questions, the Brazos County Sheriff’s Civil/Warrant Division is listed at 979-361-4920.
Does the Brazos County District Clerk tell me whether I have an open warrant?
No. The Brazos County District Clerk’s official FAQ specifically says the office cannot give out open-warrant information. The District Clerk can help with the underlying felony or misdemeanor court record, case documents and dispositions. Use the appropriate law-enforcement agency or issuing court for current warrant confirmation.
Where can I search Brazos County Justice of the Peace warrants?
Brazos County Precinct 3 publishes an Outstanding Warrants Report from its official Constable page. Check the date printed at the top of the PDF before relying on it because warrant status can change. Other Justice Court matters should be verified with the appropriate Precinct 1, 2, 3 or 4 court and the Brazos County Judicial Records Search.
How do I check College Station active warrants?
The City of College Station publishes an official Active Warrants public dataset for Municipal Court cases. The city describes the dataset as an active warrant list and directs questions to the College Station Municipal Court at 979-764-3683. Always check the dataset’s latest update date and confirm directly with the court before acting on a result.
How do I check a Bryan Texas municipal warrant?
The current City of Bryan City Marshal instructions tell people to contact the Marshal’s Office at 979-209-5445 to check for a Bryan Municipal Court warrant. For payment or case arrangements, contact Bryan Municipal Court at 979-209-5400 or visit 401 South Tabor Avenue in Bryan.
What is the difference between an alias warrant and a capias pro fine?
An alias warrant is generally issued in a municipal case when a defendant has not entered a plea or fails to appear as required. A capias pro fine is issued after judgment when a fine or court-ordered obligation is not completed as required. The exact way to resolve either warrant depends on the issuing court and current judicial order.
Can I pay a Brazos County warrant online and assume it is immediately cleared?
No. Payment rules vary by court. Brazos County Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 currently warns that an online payment can take one to five business days to post and that an outstanding arrest warrant may still be enforced during that period. Its online terms also warn that paying before entering a plea results in a no-contest plea and waiver of a jury trial. Read the issuing court’s terms before paying.
How do I find someone arrested on a Brazos County warrant?
Use the Brazos County Judicial Records Search and choose Smart Search to look for a person who is currently or was previously housed in the Brazos County Detention Center. You can also call the Detention Center at 979-361-4800 or Booking at 979-361-4811. The Detention Center is at 1835 Sandy Point Road in Bryan.
How can bond be posted after a Brazos County warrant arrest?
Brazos County publishes cash, surety and personal recognizance bond information. A cash bond may be posted using the approved method listed by the jail. A surety bond must be posted through a bondsman licensed in Brazos County, and a personal recognizance bond requires judicial authorization. Confirm the current bond and every hold with the Detention Center before paying.
What should I do if I believe a Brazos County warrant is for me?
Verify the name, date of birth, case or citation number, issuing court and warrant type before taking action. Contact the issuing court or appropriate law-enforcement office for the current status and ask what appearance, bond or payment procedure applies. For a serious criminal matter, consider speaking with a Texas criminal-defense lawyer. Eligible defendants who cannot afford counsel may apply through the Brazos County Indigent Defense process.
