Do not go to the old jail location

The current jail opened in August 2020 at 3000 IH 35 South. The Sheriff’s administrative office at 3005 W San Antonio Street is a different location.

For booking, bonding, Magistrate Court and inmate-related jail business, verify that you need the IH 35 facility before driving over.

The current jail has 582 housing beds and can also hold inmates for other counties or federal agencies when space is available. A Comal County Jail booking therefore does not automatically tell you which agency originally arrested the person.
