Tarrant County Jail Roster Search | Inmate and Booking List

Tarrant County, Texas · Current inmates, CID lookup, 14-day booking reports and daily bonds

Check the Live Tarrant County Inmate List Before Using a Booking PDF

Use the live Tarrant County inmate search when you need to know whether someone is in jail now. Search by last name, first name or CID, then compare the record with the person’s complete name and known arrest details.

Use the Daily Booked In Reports when you need a list of people processed during one of the last 14 reporting days. That PDF is a booking list—not a guarantee that every person shown remains incarcerated. This page explains how to use both tools, read bond reports and find the correct jail, court or records office afterward.

Current inmate, recent booking or recently issued bond?

LIVE INMATE SEARCH Is the person in Tarrant County Jail now?

Search by last name, first name, CID, race or sex and open the matching record.

Best starting point for current custody.
DAILY BOOKED IN Who entered the jail during a recent day?

Open one of the last 14 booking PDFs and search the document by surname, CID or booking number.

A booked person may already be released.
DAILY BOND REPORT Which bonds were issued recently?

Review the amount, type, CID, offense and associated bondsman for a recent reporting day.

Not a complete list of every active release condition.
COURT RECORD What happened after booking?

Use the County Clerk for Class A and B misdemeanors and the District Clerk for felonies.

The court disposition provides the legal outcome.
Fastest reliable sequence: Search the live inmate list, save the CID and booking number, check the relevant daily report, confirm every bond and then locate the misdemeanor or felony court record.

Last 14 booking days

Use the Daily Booked In Reports as a dated booking list

Tarrant County publishes 14 separate Daily Booked In Reports. Each report covers inmates booked during the report’s preceding 24-hour period.

Report order: Day 1 is the newest available PDF. Day 14 is the oldest PDF still offered on the county page.
Open the Daily Booked In Reports page View the 14 official booking reports
Select the reporting day Use Day 1 for the newest list. Move toward Day 14 when the arrest occurred earlier.
Check the report date at the top Do not assume the day-number link equals a calendar date.
Use Find in the PDF On a computer, press Ctrl+F or Command+F and search the surname, CID or booking number.
Compare all available identifiers Similar names are common. Match the CID, book-in date, booking number and charge description.
Return to the live roster The dated PDF does not confirm that the person remains incarcerated.
Fields found in the Daily Booked In Report
Report field
What it helps identify
Important limitation
Inmate name
The name used in the report.
A matching name alone is not enough.
CID
The county identifier associated with the person.
One CID can have multiple booking events.
Book-in date
When the jail intake was recorded.
It may differ from the incident date.
Booking number
The specific booking event.
It is not necessarily the court cause number.
Description
The charge description connected to booking.
The prosecutor may file, reject or change the charge.
Address information
Information appearing in the county-generated report.
Do not republish it unnecessarily or use it to harass anyone.
The booking PDF is not a current-jail list. A person can appear in a Daily Booked In Report and later be released on bond, transferred, discharged or held under a different status.
Last 14 bond reports

Use the Daily Bond Reports without confusing them with current bail

The Sheriff also publishes 14 Daily Bond Reports. These PDFs list bonds issued over a recent 24-hour period.

Property and re-entry

Prepare for a transfer or release without assuming normal property pickup

Tarrant County’s published property-release rule is limited. Inmates transferring to TDCJ may designate someone to claim their property. A normal pretrial inmate generally cannot release clothing or property without higher-level approval based on undue hardship.
TDCJ transfer property
  • The inmate designates a person during the transfer process.
  • The inmate must notify that person.
  • The designated person has 30 days from transfer to claim the property.
Read the property-release rule
Re-entry assistance

Tarrant County provides requested re-entry information and classes through partnerships at the Corrections Center and Green Bay facility.

Open re-entry services
Before pickup, confirm that release processing is complete, ask where the person will exit and agree on a safe meeting location. Do not rely only on the time bond was paid.
Correction and record clearing

A roster entry does not disappear automatically after dismissal

Identify the record still appearing Determine whether it is the live jail system, daily PDF, Sheriff record, court record, DPS history or private website.
Obtain the complete court disposition Request a certified dismissal, judgment, acquittal or other controlling order.
Correct factual errors first Contact the office that owns the inaccurate field and provide supporting documentation.
Review expunction eligibility Some arrests may qualify for destruction or removal under Texas law.
Review nondisclosure eligibility Some records may qualify for restricted public disclosure rather than destruction.
Dispute private background reports separately A court order or government correction may not automatically update a private database.

Expunction

An eligible expunction can require covered agencies to destroy or remove identified arrest records.

Read Texas expunction guidance

Order of nondisclosure

A nondisclosure order restricts public disclosure of eligible criminal-history information but does not erase every record.

Open Texas court forms
Correction and clearing are different. Correction fixes inaccurate information. Expunction or nondisclosure concerns an accurate record that may qualify for legal relief.

Local mistakes to avoid

Six Tarrant County roster mistakes that waste time

Treating a booking PDF as live custody

Return to the inmate search because a person in the PDF may already be released.

Confusing CID and booking number

CID follows the person in county systems; the booking number identifies one intake event.

Searching with too many filters

Remove race, sex or first name when a valid surname search returns nothing.

Checking only one bond amount

Review every charge and ask about outside holds before paying.

Sending personal mail to the jail

Ordinary personal mail must use the Smart Communications address in Seminole, Florida.

Using the wrong clerk

County Clerk handles Class A and B misdemeanors; District Clerk handles felonies.

10 roster questions

Tarrant County jail roster questions answered

How do I search the Tarrant County jail roster?

Open the official Tarrant County Inmate Search. Search by last name, first name or CID number, and optionally narrow the results by race or sex. Open each possible match and compare the CID, complete name, booking information, charges and bond details. Call the Detention Bureau when the online status is unclear.

Where can I see people booked into Tarrant County Jail during the last 24 hours?

Use the Sheriff’s Daily Booked In Reports page. Day 1 is the newest report, and Day 14 is the oldest available report. Each PDF generally identifies the inmate name, CID, book-in date, booking number and charge description. The report shows booking activity, not guaranteed current custody.

Does the Tarrant County daily booking list show everyone currently in jail?

No. The Daily Booked In Report lists people booked during a particular 24-hour reporting period. Someone in that report may have been released, transferred or bonded out. Use the live Inmate Search and call Tarrant County jail information to confirm current custody.

What is a CID number in the Tarrant County inmate search?

CID is the county identifier associated with a person in Tarrant County’s criminal justice system. It is useful for narrowing an inmate search, reading booking and bond reports, and locating court settings. A CID can be connected to more than one booking, so also compare the booking number and book-in date.

Why can I not find a recently arrested person in the Tarrant County jail search?

The person may still be processing, may be listed under a different spelling, may have been released quickly, may have received a citation instead of being booked, or may be held in another city or county jail. Search the surname with fewer filters, review the Daily Booked In Reports and call jail information when necessary.

What does the Tarrant County Daily Bond Report show?

The Daily Bond Report lists bonds issued during a recent 24-hour period. Fields can include the bond number, status, amount, court, CID, name, offense, magistrate date, book-in date, bond type and bondsman. It is not a complete list of every current bond or every condition preventing release.

Where can bond be posted for a Tarrant County inmate?

Bonds may be posted 24 hours a day at the Bond Desk in the Tarrant County Corrections Center, 100 North Lamar Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76196. Call 817-884-3000 first to confirm whether bond has been set, the amount, every active charge and any hold that may prevent release.

When can I visit an inmate in Tarrant County Jail?

General visitation depends on the inmate’s last name. A through L generally visit Saturdays and Mondays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. M through Z generally visit Sundays and Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Confirm the schedule and facility before travelling.

How do I send mail or money to a Tarrant County inmate?

Regular personal mail is sent through Smart Communications using the inmate’s full booked name and CID. Legal mail, approved books, magazines and postal or Western Union money orders continue to use 100 North Lamar Street. Deposits may be made through Access Corrections, by telephone, at lobby kiosks or through approved cash walk-in locations.

Does the Tarrant County jail roster show the final court outcome?

No. The jail roster and daily booking reports show jail and booking information, not the final prosecution result. Class A and B misdemeanor records are maintained by the Tarrant County Clerk. Felony records are maintained by the Tarrant County District Clerk. Review the court disposition for every charge.
