Find a New Parker County Jail Intake Without Guessing the Booking Date

If you are checking on one person who may have been arrested in Parker County, have the legal first and last name used at booking ready. The Sheriff specifically warns that the current jail search depends on the booked legal name; a nickname or familiar name may return nothing.

There is another important change: Parker County says its newer records software no longer offers the old booking-date search. That means “show me everyone booked today” and “is this person in jail?” now require different approaches. This guide shows both.

Booking does not mean conviction. A Parker County jail entry records a custody event and allegations connected with that intake. It does not establish guilt and should not be treated as the final criminal-case result.

The Sheriff says the newer system removed the old date-search option.

Pick the right route first

“Recent bookings” can mean four different things

ONE PERSON “Was this person booked?”

Use the Sheriff’s jail search with the exact legal first and last name.

Follow the name-search steps
TODAY / YESTERDAY “Show me everyone booked during a date range.”

The current system does not offer the old date search. Request the booking or intake log in writing.

Request a date-based log
STILL IN JAIL? “Has the person been released?”

Check the jail record, then call the booking desk when the status is unclear or changing.

Check current custody
CHARGES / COURT “What case was filed after booking?”

Use Parker County Judicial Records and identify whether the case is a felony or misdemeanor.

Follow the case to court
BOND “What must happen before release?”

Check every charge, bond and hold before paying or hiring a bonding company.

Review bond and release
FAMILY HELP “How do I visit, call, write or send money?”

Use the current jail rules; mail and inmate-fund addresses are not the same.

Parker-specific search fix

Use the wildcard when the exact booked name is uncertain

Parker County acknowledges that users have had trouble with the newer search site. Its published workaround is useful when you are not sure how a first or last name was entered.

You know the full legal name

Enter the legal first and last name exactly as you believe it was booked.

You know only part of a name

Use the first initial plus the supported * wildcard rather than typing an unrelated nickname.

Nothing still appears

Call the booking desk at 817-594-4208 rather than repeatedly guessing.

Why this matters: “Robert Smith,” “Bob Smith” and a hyphenated legal surname can produce very different search results. A no-result screen does not by itself prove the person was not booked.
Today’s or yesterday’s bookings

How to get a Parker County booking list by date

The current jail search is not a date-based recent-bookings feed. The Parker County Sheriff publicly states that the new Judicial/Records Management software does not have the former date-search option.

That distinction matters. If you know a person’s name, use the jail search. If you are researching all people booked between two times, make the request as a records request instead of forcing the name-search portal to do something it no longer supports.

Choose a precise period Example: August 24, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. through August 24, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
Ask for the booking or jail-intake log Avoid vague wording such as “send me all arrest records.”
List the fields you actually need For example: booked legal name, booking identifier, booking date/time, arresting agency, charge description, bond and release status to the extent those fields exist and are public.
Submit the request in writing The Sheriff expressly states that open-records requests are not accepted by telephone.
Use the Sheriff’s published records contact Mail, email, fax or the county’s online records-request form can be used.
Respond to a cost estimate Under the Sheriff’s published Public Information Act instructions, a written estimate must be provided when anticipated charges exceed $40.
Copy-ready request for a recent booking log
Under the Texas Public Information Act, I request the Parker County Jail booking/intake log for persons booked between [START DATE/TIME] and [END DATE/TIME]. Please provide, to the extent maintained and publicly releasable, the booked legal name, booking or jail identifier, booking date/time, arresting agency, listed charge(s), bond information and release/custody status. Electronic delivery is preferred. Please notify me before processing if estimated charges will exceed $[AMOUNT].

About the “10 business days” rule: it is not a promise that every record will be produced within ten business days. The Sheriff’s Public Information Act page explains that when information cannot be produced promptly, the office must provide notice of a reasonable availability date; separate deadlines apply when an Attorney General ruling is sought.

What a jail-booking record can—and cannot—tell you

Parker County booking-record interpretation
Detail What it helps answer What it does not prove Next check
Booked legal name Which name the jail is using for the current custody record. Identity by name alone. Compare DOB or another independent identifier.
Booking/intake date When the person entered the jail process. When the alleged offense occurred. Compare arrest report and court filing date.
Arresting agency Which law-enforcement agency made or processed the arrest. That Parker County Sheriff created the offense narrative. Request the report from the arresting agency.
Charge The allegation connected to the intake record. That a prosecutor filed or proved that exact charge. Search the criminal court case.
Bond A release condition associated with a listed charge or case. That paying one amount will release the person. Confirm every case, warrant and hold.
Case/cause number Which court file may correspond to the booking. The disposition. Enter it in Judicial Records Search.
Release information Whether the displayed custody event has ended. Dismissal, acquittal or innocence. Read the court docket.

Do not publish a same-name match without verification. Match at least two independent identifiers before treating a booking as belonging to a specific person.

What to do when a new Parker County arrest returns no result

Try the legal name The Sheriff specifically says the search uses the name under which the person was booked.
Use the wildcard correctly Start with the first initial and add the supported asterisk when the spelling is uncertain.
The intake may still be underway A recent arrest and a completed public jail record are not always simultaneous.
The person may already be out A short custody event can end before family members begin searching.
The booking may be elsewhere An arrest near Parker County does not guarantee that Parker County Jail is the final booking location.
The person may have transferred Search TDCJ later if the person enters state custody or use the appropriate receiving jurisdiction.

After the arrest

Follow the booking instead of assuming what happens next

Arresting agency brings the person into the custody process The agency making the arrest may be the Sheriff or a city or state law-enforcement agency.
A jail record is created The legal booked name matters because that is what the current Parker County search expects.
Charges and release conditions begin appearing Do not assume the first information you see is permanent.
Bond, magistrate or hold issues are addressed A person may remain in custody even when one charge has a payable bond.
The criminal case moves to the correct court Felonies and misdemeanors follow different Parker County clerk and prosecutor routes.
The court disposition becomes the controlling outcome A release from jail is not the same thing as a dismissal or acquittal.
Parker County does not publish one guaranteed “booking processing time.” Avoid relying on third-party claims that every new arrest will appear online within a fixed number of hours.
Booking to court

Find what happened after the Parker County intake

Parker County’s own Judicial Records page separates Court Records and Jail Records. Use the same person or case number across both sides rather than treating the booking page as the final answer.
Open Parker County Judicial Records Search Open Judicial Records Search
Select Court Records The county portal covers criminal and other court records in addition to jail information.
Use the exact case number when available A case-number search is safer than opening the first result with a matching name.
Otherwise search the defendant’s legal name Compare filing date and offense information to the recent jail intake.
Determine felony or misdemeanor This tells you which clerk and prosecutor maintain the next set of records.
Read the docket and disposition Look for amended charges, dismissals, pleas, judgments, probation or other final actions.

Arrest narrative and reports

The booking and the police report may belong to different agencies

A person can be housed in Parker County Jail after an arrest by a different law-enforcement agency. If the jail record identifies a city police department as the arresting agency, that department may hold the incident narrative rather than the Sheriff.

Sheriff-created police report

Parker County Sheriff’s Records Division lists report-copy assistance at 817-594-8845.

The Sheriff states that prices vary according to the type of information requested.

Parker County Jail

Know where the jail entrance actually is

Parker County Jail
612 Jameson Street
Weatherford, TX 76086

Booking/jail: 817-594-4208

The Sheriff’s official jail page says the main entrance is at the corner of Jameson Street and North Mill Street, opposite the Sheriff’s Office entrance.

Who operates the jail?

The jail remains the constitutional responsibility of the Parker County Sheriff, while the Sheriff’s official page says daily jail operations are managed by LaSalle Corrections.

The current Sheriff’s page identifies Ron King as Warden.

Parking: the jail page identifies the entrance but does not publish a specific visitor-parking fee or guaranteed visitor lot. If accessibility or parking placement matters, call 817-594-4208 before driving rather than relying on an unofficial parking description.
Visitation

Call before driving because Parker County schedules visits by housing classification

Parker County’s current visitation page links to a separate visitation schedule and tells visitors to contact the Visitation Office at 682-229-2361 with questions. That line is not staffed 24 hours a day; the jail’s main line is 817-594-4208.
Visits are in-person and non-contact
Minimum published visit time is 20 minutes
Inmates receive two visits per week
Maximum four visitors per inmate
Visitors may switch during the 20-minute period
Adult visitors must show valid ID
Arrive about 20 minutes before sign-up
At least one evening or weekend period is provided
Do not copy a visitation time from an old jail directory. Parker County uses classification-specific scheduling and the Sheriff currently links a separate 2026 schedule. Confirm the inmate’s current eligibility and exact slot before travelling.
Personal correspondence

The current inmate letter address is not the jail street address

The current Parker County Sheriff inmate-contact page directs ordinary inmate correspondence to:
Personal correspondence
Inmate’s Name / Inmate ID
C/O Parker County Jail
PO Box 16120
Jonesboro, AR 72403
Mail is screened

Incoming and outgoing inmate correspondence is screened by the facility.

Do not enclose money

Ordinary correspondence must not contain money. Use the commissary/trust process instead.

Items the current Sheriff page says not to send

Drugs
Tobacco
Money
Sexually explicit material
Stamps
Paper
Envelopes for the inmate to keep
Other mailed-in personal items
Do not confuse the two addresses: personal letters currently go through the Jonesboro, Arkansas PO box. A commissary money order follows the separate Parker County Jail trust-fund instructions described below.

Meals and special diets

The Sheriff’s jail page states that inmates receive three hot meals per day, with a minimum of 3,000 calories per inmate per day, and that special diets are provided when medically or religiously required.
Calls and voicemail

Parker County Jail phone service uses Correct Solutions Group

The Sheriff states that the inmate telephone system changed in August 2022 and is now serviced by Correct Solutions Group.

Open the current CSG service Create the appropriate account for the inmate phone system.
Use the same system for voicemail The Sheriff says family members may leave a voicemail for an inmate through the provider.
Do not discuss sensitive case strategy Ordinary inmate telephone calls should not be assumed to be confidential attorney-client communications.
Unknown inmate-call scam: Parker County Sheriff has previously warned users that if they receive an inmate call from someone they do not know, they should hang up rather than follow prompts or enter codes.
Medical and mental-health care

There is a 24-hour on-site infirmary

Medical care

Physician services are contracted by the jail.

Infirmary

The Sheriff states that the on-site infirmary is staffed 24 hours a day by medical-care professionals.

Mental-health services

The Sheriff identifies Pecan Valley MHMR of Texas as the provider of mental-health services.

Parker County’s jail information also states that the facility is ADA compliant.
If a family member has a time-sensitive medication, medical or mental-health concern, call the jail at 817-594-4208 and ask for the current procedure for communicating health information. Do not place private medical details in a public records request unless necessary.

Older booking showing up

First verify the disposition; then consider correction or expunction

Find the jail entry Save the booked name, date and case identifier.
Find the criminal case Determine whether the allegation became a filed misdemeanor or felony.
Obtain the disposition A dismissal, acquittal, conviction and deferred disposition have different legal consequences.
Correct factual errors separately A wrong date, identity or disposition should be taken to the office that owns the incorrect record.
Evaluate legal record clearing Texas expunction and nondisclosure rules depend on the complete case history.
Parker County’s current District Clerk FAQ lists the expunction filing fee at $350. It also lists an additional $25 per entity when an email address for that entity is not provided. A certified copy of an expunction order is listed at $1 per page plus a $5 certification fee.
Do not assume eligibility from a booking alone. Get the court disposition before paying filing fees or sending requests to agencies.

Practical Parker County tips

Six details that can save a wasted search or trip

Search the legal booked name

This is not just a generic search tip—the Parker County Sheriff specifically warns users about it.

There is no current date-only booking search

If you need everyone booked during a period, use a written intake-log request.

Do not mail letters to Jameson Street

The current personal-correspondence route uses the Jonesboro PO box.

Money orders are different

Trust-fund money orders follow the jail’s Jameson Street instructions and must be labelled correctly.

Call visitation before driving

The schedule is classification-specific and the dedicated office is 682-229-2361.

Use the court record for the outcome

A release date or booking charge cannot substitute for the final criminal disposition.

10 Parker County booking questions

Recent Parker County Jail booking questions answered

How do I find recent Parker County Jail bookings?

Use the Parker County Sheriff’s official Jail Search when you know the person’s legal booked name. The Sheriff’s Office says the current system requires the first and last name the inmate was booked under. If you need a list of everyone booked during a particular day or time range, the current system does not provide the former date-search option, so submit a written open-records request for the booking or intake log covering that period.

Can I search Parker County Jail bookings by date?

The Parker County Sheriff’s Office says its newer Judicial and Records Management software does not currently provide the former date-search option. For a known person, search by the legal first and last name. For a date-based list such as today’s or yesterday’s bookings, submit a written request to the Sheriff’s Office describing the exact date and time range.

What if I do not know the exact name used for a Parker County booking?

The Sheriff’s Office says the jail search uses the person’s legal booked name. The search supports an asterisk as a wildcard, but the first initial must still be entered in the field. Try likely legal-name variations and call the booking desk at 817-594-4208 if you still cannot locate the person.

Why is a newly arrested person not showing in the Parker County Jail search?

Possible reasons include intake still being processed, searching a nickname instead of the legal booked name, release before you searched, transfer to another facility, or the person being held on a type of matter not displayed in the public results. Recheck the spelling and call the booking desk at 817-594-4208 for current custody information.

How can I request all Parker County bookings from a specific day?

Submit a written Texas Public Information Act request to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office asking for the booking or jail-intake log for a clearly defined period. Include the beginning and ending date and time and describe the fields you need. The Sheriff’s Office does not accept open-records requests by telephone.

Does a Parker County Jail booking mean the person was convicted?

No. A booking records a detention event and allegations associated with that event. It does not establish guilt or the final charge. Search Parker County Judicial Records to see whether a criminal case was filed and how each charge was ultimately resolved.

How do I find bond information for a Parker County inmate?

Start with the Parker County jail and judicial record search, then confirm the current bond and any additional holds with the jail at 817-594-4208 before paying. If using a commercial surety, Parker County publishes a Bail Bond Board resource for approved bonding companies. Do not rely on an unsolicited caller claiming to arrange release.

How do I visit someone in Parker County Jail?

The Sheriff’s current visitation page says visits are in-person and non-contact, inmates receive two visits per week, visitation is limited to four visitors per inmate, adult visitors need valid identification, and visitors should arrive about 20 minutes early. Call the Jail Visitation Office at 682-229-2361 to confirm the current classification-specific schedule before driving to the jail.

What is the Parker County inmate mailing address?

The current Parker County Sheriff inmate-contact page directs correspondence to the inmate’s name and inmate ID, C/O Parker County Jail, PO Box 16120, Jonesboro, AR 72403. Incoming and outgoing mail is screened. Do not send money, stamps, paper, envelopes, tobacco, drugs or sexually explicit material through ordinary correspondence.

How do I check what happened in court after a Parker County booking?

Use Parker County Judicial Records Search and select Court Records. Felony cases are filed with the District Clerk for the 43rd and 415th District Courts, while misdemeanor cases are handled through the County Courts at Law and County Clerk. Match the defendant name, case number, filing date and charge, then read the disposition rather than assuming the booking charge was final.
