Under the Texas Public Information Act, I request the releasable jail, booking, arrest or Sheriff report records maintained by the Nueces County Sheriff’s Office concerning [full legal name], date of birth [date], for the event on or about [date] at [location]. Court-appointed and private counsel
Nueces County does not assign every indigent defendant to one office
Nueces County uses a court-appointed attorney system that includes private appointed lawyers and a dedicated Mental Health Public Defender. The courts assign cases among those lawyers; family members should not assume the Mental Health Public Defender represents an inmate merely because that office exists.
