Find the Right Denton County Court File Without Starting at the Wrong Clerk
Denton County does not keep every court case in one clerk’s office. A felony or district-level civil case belongs with the District Clerk, while county misdemeanors and county-level civil cases are maintained by the County Clerk. Justice Court and city municipal cases follow still another route.
Start with the county’s judicial-record search, save the cause number and assigned court, then decide whether you only need the docket or an actual filed document. This guide shows the shortest path for criminal and civil cases, court dates, dispositions, certified copies, fees, sealed records and records that do not appear online.
