See Webb County’s 48-Hour Intake List—Then Follow the Booking Forward
If the arrest happened recently, do not start with a broad background-search site. Webb County Sheriff publishes a dedicated Booking Jail Search for people arrested within the last 48 hours. The first screen gives you the booking number, name, charge count, race and age.
The important part is knowing what to do after that first result. Save the booking number, open the charge details, then move to the separate Webb County Jail and Bond Search when you need current custody or bond information. For the actual criminal case and final outcome, use Webb County’s court-record system.

The 48-hour booking page is designed for recent intake. Falling off that page does not tell you whether a person was released, remains jailed, posted bond, transferred or has a pending criminal case.

Verify visitation, calls, mail and deposits before spending money
Webb County’s current public Sheriff section clearly publishes the booking search, Jail and Bond Search and PREA resources. It does not currently surface one complete, stable official page containing all live visitation, inmate-phone, mail and commissary/provider rules.
For this reason, call the jail before using a third-party provider
Provider contracts and jail procedures can change. A page that was accurate several months ago can send money to the wrong account type or give you an outdated visitation procedure.
Ask whether visits are in-person, video or both; whether advance registration is required; the current days/hours; accepted ID; age rules; dress code; arrival time and whether the inmate must approve visitors.
Ask for the current contracted phone company, account website, customer-service number and whether calls are prepaid, collect or inmate-debit.
Ask for the exact provider, inmate identifier required, deposit limits, service fees and kiosk availability.
Ask for the current mailing address, whether envelopes or postcards are accepted, required booking/inmate number and prohibited contents.

Six Webb County mistakes to avoid after seeing a booking
Use Jail and Bond Records after the intake record ages off the recent page.
It is the cleanest identifier for one intake event.
Review each charge and current release condition first.
The court record is the correct place to see how prosecution ended.

Check the Webb County Bail Bond Board’s approved list first.
Recent Webb County jail intake questions answered
How do I see recent Webb County jail bookings?
Use the Webb County Sheriff’s official Booking Jail Search. The county states that this list covers people arrested within the last 48 hours. The initial table shows the booking number, name, number of charges, race and age, with additional charge information available through the booking result.
How far back does the Webb County recent booking list go?
The official Webb County Booking Jail Search states that it covers individuals arrested within the last 48 hours. If the arrest is older or the person no longer appears there, use the separate Webb County Jail and Bond Record Search.
What should I do if someone disappears from the Webb County 48-hour booking list?
Move to the separate Webb County Jail and Bond Record Search, which provides Jail Records and Jail Bond Records searches. You can also check Webb County criminal court records or call the Webb County Jail at 956-523-4400 when current custody or release status is unclear.
What information appears on the Webb County recent booking page?
The recent-intake table currently displays booking number, name, number of charges, race and age. The county states that the results provide details on the individual and charges. Treat the booking number as the strongest event identifier and do not identify a person from name, age or race alone.
Where can I check a Webb County inmate’s bond?
Use Webb County’s separate Jail and Bond Record Search and select Jail Bond Records. Review every listed case or charge because one bond amount does not necessarily mean the person is eligible for immediate release. Webb County Pre-Trial Services can also answer questions about eligible personal-bond and release processes.
How do I find the court case after a Webb County jail booking?
Open the Webb County Public Record Search and select Criminal Records. Compare the person’s name and case information with the booking. The court record is the better source for filed charges, court settings and final disposition because an intake charge does not prove a conviction.
What is the Webb County Jail phone number?
The Webb County official phone directory lists the Jail at 1001 Washington Street, Laredo, Texas 78040, with phone number 956-523-4400. The Sheriff’s Office non-emergency number is 956-523-4500.
How do I verify Webb County Jail visitation, phone or commissary rules?
Call the Webb County Jail at 956-523-4400 before creating a paid account, travelling for a visit, sending mail or depositing money. The county’s current public Sheriff pages do not provide one complete stable set of current visitation, inmate-phone, mail and commissary instructions, so provider details should be confirmed directly with the jail.
How do I get a certified Webb County criminal court record?
Request certified or non-certified copies from the Webb County District Clerk. The current published fee schedule lists electronic non-certified documents up to 10 pages at $1, additional pages at $0.10 each, paper copies at $1 per page, and a $5 certification fee plus the applicable copy cost for certified documents.
Can a Webb County arrest or booking record be expunged?
Some Texas arrest records may qualify for expunction, while some other records may qualify for an order of nondisclosure. Eligibility depends on the exact charge, disposition and other facts. Webb County District Clerk publishes current expunction information and a list of local agencies that may need to be named in an expunction order.
