Read Tarrant County’s 14-Day Booking Reports and Confirm Current Custody

Use the Sheriff’s Daily Booked In Reports when you need to see who entered the Tarrant County jail system recently. Day 1 is the newest 24-hour report; day 14 is the oldest report available on that page.

A booking report does not tell you reliably whether the person is still confined. After finding the name, copy the CID, book-in date and booking number, then run the separate current-inmate search. This guide also explains municipal jail delays, recent bond reports, court verification, visitation, correspondence, deposits and records requests.

How to use Tarrant County Daily Booked In Reports

Open the Sheriff’s report page Use the county page instead of saving one direct PDF because the day-number links refresh as new reports are generated. Open Daily Booked In Reports
Select Day 1 for the newest report The PDF heading states that it contains inmates booked during the past 24 hours and shows its own report date.
Check the PDF report date Do not assume that “Day 1” means today’s calendar date. Read the date printed at the top of the PDF.
Search the PDF for the surname On desktop, use Ctrl+F or Command+F. On a phone, use the browser or PDF viewer’s Find option.
Scan alphabetically when spelling is uncertain The report is arranged by inmate name. Look for hyphenated names, compound surnames or a different middle-name format.
Save the CID and booking number The report labels these as separate fields. Do not assume they are interchangeable.
Read every description beneath the booking One booking number can have several charge descriptions.
Move backward through the reports Check Day 2, Day 3 and onward when the exact booking date is unclear.
Stop after Day 14 For an older event, use the current inmate database, jail-record request or criminal court record.
Confirm live status separately The person may have already been released or transferred after appearing in the daily PDF.

What the official PDF looks like

This illustration uses fictional data. The actual county PDF may also display an address associated with the booking record.
Phone tip: Large daily PDFs can be difficult to search inside an in-app browser. Open the report in Chrome, Safari or a dedicated PDF viewer, then use Find on Page.

Most useful information to copy: full booked name, CID, book-in date, booking number and every description. Those details reduce confusion when calling the jail or searching a court case.
Identity and privacy safeguard

Do not use the report like a verified background check

Name matches the person you are researching
CID is consistent across the relevant county pages
Book-in date fits the known timeline
Booking number is copied correctly
Arresting city or agency makes sense
Court case follows the same booking event
Release or custody status has been rechecked
Final disposition is read for every charge
The PDF may display a street address. Do not assume that address is current, do not publish it as a verified residence, and do not use it to visit or confront the person. An address is not a substitute for identity verification.
Fair-use reminder: A booking report can contain outdated, incomplete or same-name information. Confirm the court outcome before using it in employment, housing, licensing, financial or public accusations.
Current inmate status

Check whether the recently booked person is still confined

Open the direct inmate search Open Tarrant County Inmate Search
Enter the CID when the daily report provided it CID is usually the cleanest way to avoid a same-name result.
Otherwise search the last name Add the first name when the result list is broad.
Use race or sex only as a narrowing field Do not treat either field as sufficient identity proof.
Open the matching inmate record Compare the CID and booking information with the daily PDF.
Review every charge and bond A person may have more than one cause, warrant or hold.
Confirm the current facility Recheck the location before a visit, deposit or records trip.
Call when the online result is unclear The Detention Bureau information line is 817-884-3000.
A person can appear in the 24-hour booking PDF but not in the current inmate list after release. The reverse can also occur when someone has been held longer than the 14-day report window.

The arrest occurred in another county Search the county where the jail intake occurred, not only the incident location.
The record is legally restricted Juvenile, expunged, nondisclosed or otherwise confidential information may not be public.

Inmate medical services

Tarrant County publishes that emergency care, assessment of significant new illness and monitoring of chronic conditions are available.

Medical staff distribute medication according to jail-physician orders. Inmates receive medical attention regardless of ability to pay.

Dental and vision

Dental services include complaint triage, trauma, abscess treatment and extractions.

Eye examinations are available, but the published page states that glasses are not provided.

Routine property release

Property is not generally released simply because a family member requests it.

A person claiming undue hardship may ask Jail Administration to review the request.

Only authorised senior personnel can approve an exception.

Obtain controlling proof Use a certified dismissal, judgment, corrected order or written agency amendment.
Contact the office that created the error The Sheriff cannot rewrite a city police narrative, and a Clerk cannot independently change an arresting agency’s report.
Recheck connected databases Updates may not reach every public or private system at the same time.

Expunction and nondisclosure

Expunction

An eligible expunction can require covered agencies to destroy or remove specified arrest records. Eligibility is narrow and fact-specific.

Tarrant County District Clerk felony/civil contact for expunction information: 817-884-1231.

Order of nondisclosure

A nondisclosure order restricts public disclosure of an eligible record but does not erase it from every government or authorised-agency system.

District Clerk felony nondisclosure information: 817-884-2508.

Correction and record clearing are different. Correction addresses inaccurate data. Expunction or nondisclosure concerns an accurate record that may qualify for legal relief.

Mistakes that cause confusion

Six details to remember when reading recent bookings

Day 1 is a report position

Always read the actual report date printed inside the PDF.

A booking report is not live custody

The person may have been released after the report was created.

CID and booking number differ

Save both instead of assuming one replaces the other.

The address is not verified residence

Do not republish it or use it to contact the person.

City custody can come first

Fort Worth, Arlington or Mansfield may hold someone before county transfer.

A charge description is not a conviction

Use the correct Clerk office to find the filed charge and disposition.

10 recent-arrest questions

Tarrant County booking report questions answered

How do I see Tarrant County arrests from the past 24 hours?

Open the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Daily Booked In Reports page and select day 1. Day 1 is the newest report and lists people booked during the previous 24-hour reporting period. The report includes the inmate name, CID, book-in date, booking number and charge description. Confirm current custody through the separate Tarrant County Inmate Search.

How far back do Tarrant County daily booking reports go?

The Sheriff’s official Daily Booked In Reports page provides 14 reports. Day 1 is the most recent and day 14 is the oldest available report on that page. For an older booking, use the inmate search, request jail records or search the appropriate criminal court record.

Does the Tarrant County booking report show who is still in jail?

Not reliably. The daily report is a snapshot of people booked during a reporting period. A listed person may have bonded out, been released, transferred or remained in custody after the report was created. Use the current Inmate Search or call the Detention Bureau information line at 817-884-3000.

What is a CID in a Tarrant County booking report?

CID is the identifier displayed by Tarrant County for the person in its jail system. The booking report separately displays a booking number for the intake event. Save both numbers because the CID can help with a current inmate search while the booking number helps identify the specific booking.

Why is a recent arrest missing from the Tarrant County report?

The person may still be booking, may be in a municipal jail, may have received a citation, may have been released before county transfer, or may have been booked under another spelling. Check the Tarrant County Inmate Search, Fort Worth Recent Arrests, Arlington Jail Inmate List and Mansfield Inmate Information when the arresting city is known.

How do I check a recent Tarrant County bond?

Use the inmate search for the person’s current charge and bond information. The Sheriff’s Daily Bond Reports list bonds issued during the previous 24 hours and retain 14 daily reports, but they are not a complete list of every currently payable bond. Confirm the amount and all holds by calling 817-884-3000 before paying.

Where can I post bond for a Tarrant County inmate?

Bonds may be posted 24 hours a day at the Bond Desk inside the Tarrant County Corrections Center, 100 North Lamar Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76196. A person paying the bond directly must pay the full required amount. Confirm every charge, bond and hold through the jail information line first.

How do I request a Tarrant County booking or arrest report?

For jail records or a Sheriff-created incident, submit a written request to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office Records Division online, by email, by mail or in person at 200 Taylor Street, sixth floor, Fort Worth. If another police department made the arrest, request the offense report from that department.

How do I find the court result after a Tarrant County arrest?

Class A and B misdemeanor records are maintained by the Tarrant County Clerk Criminal Division. Felony records are maintained by the Tarrant County District Clerk. Use the booking number, CID, defendant name, date of birth and cause number to locate the correct case and obtain the disposition for each charge.

Can a Tarrant County arrest record be expunged or sealed?

Some Texas cases may qualify for expunction or an order of nondisclosure. Eligibility depends on the arrest, charge, disposition, waiting period, prior history and other cases arising from the same event. Obtain the complete misdemeanor or felony disposition before using current Texas court forms or consulting a qualified lawyer.
